Today I Found Myself

Today I found myself.  I didn't even know I was gone.

Perhaps I was just withdrawn from society.

But I looked into the fridge, and there I was found.

Does this make me unsound?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Too many people have misplaced themselves these days.  

I dare say it would amaze you to know just how many people are lost.

But then again, that's the cost

Of progress and protests

That infest and repress a nation

Minus the realization

That all that we are

At the deepest parts

Is human.
